no mind's eye

real stories on Cebu's business landscape…

Nancy R. Cudis

Nancy R. Cudis or NRC (profile picture is seen on the header) is a reporter for Sun.Star Cebu where she spent her print internship during college.

She graduated Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication (tri-media: radio, television, and print) in 2005 from St. Theresa’s College-Cebu. She first worked as public information staff at the Mandaue City Government for three months before she joined the production staff of SkyCable Cebu for a year.

She joined the Sun.Star Cebu family in February 2007. Even before her one-on-one evaluation with her editor regarding her performance, she knew that her greatest challenges as far as her job is concerned are asking the right questions during interviews and coming up with good leads for her stories. She admits she is learning and enjoying everyday.

For more than a year (February 2007-May 2008), she was given general assignments, including religion, education, health, police, and Cebu City Hall beats. She eventually asked for a reassignment and was absorbed in the business section (May 2008-present).

NRC is an online subscriber of New York Times. Apart from updating this blog that contains her articles everyday, she would read new entries at Poynter Online, send her aunt an e-mail, and communicate with friends and acquaintances through Friendster.
